The most valuable lands are the lands of the Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odessa regions; they will increase the most in price after the moratorium is lifted. This was reported by the People’s Deputy from the party “Servant of the People” Mykyta Poturaev during a public marathon discussion of the land reform (Land Marathon) of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the topic: “Final version of land reform”.
The price increase will occur if investments are made in modern irrigation systems. Otherwise, it may turn out that valuable lands turn into steppe. There is no one to invest in reclamation today. However, there are investors who are waiting for this opportunity – summed up the people’s deputy.
According to Roman Leshchenko, the authorized President of Ukraine for Land Affairs, the Cabinet is preparing the concept of resuscitation of Ukraine’s reclamation systems. He also noted that without proper investment in irrigation systems of Ukraine could lead to a serious environmental catastrophe. “I can assure you that this issue is already under the control of the President of Ukraine,” Roman Leshchenko said.
