According to the State Budget of Ukraine, as well as the commitments on full funding, nearly UAH 1 billion will be allocated for financing state support programs for agriculture by the end of 2019. These funds were blocked in court through a lawsuit from the GS “All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council” to the previous overnment – the press-center of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Rural Economy of Ukraine informs.
Today, on December 28, 2019, in accordance with a cassation claim of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the court unblocked the possibility to make payments under two state programs: “State support for animal husbandry, storage and processing of agricultural products, aquaculture (fisheries)” (UAH 830 million) and “Financial support for farm development” (UAH 186 million).
“We reaffirmed in part our position on agricultural priority and, through a concerted effort by the Government, have defended payments under support programs. We will continue to do everything we can to create the right conditions when it is necessary to provide support for the agricultural sector of our country to develop”, – said Minister of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Milovanov.
Thus, in 2019, farmers will receive almost UAH 4.4 billion in state support.
