World’s cereal production In 2019 can reach a highest level

According to FAO’s latest forecast, global cereal production in 2019 could reach 2 714 million tonnes, about 0.4 percent above the November forecast and nearly 57 million tonnes (2.1 percent) more refined towards a decrease in production in 2018. The increase compared to the previous month reflects, first of all, a revision of the output of feed grains in connection with higher than previously expected harvests in China, the Russian Federation and Ukraine. At its current level, this projected output of feed grain cereals in the world may amount to 1 433 million tons, which is 1.7 percent (24.5 million tons) higher than last year and slightly less than the record high of 2017.
